Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), which represents delivery agents and plant workers, are currently in negotiations…again.
Talks started at the beginning of April, but we are told that under the Canada Labour Code, there can be no legal work disruption for roughly three months after initiating the conciliation process. At the earliest, this puts the risk of service interruption at the end of June if they do not come to an agreement.
* The earliest possible strike date is the end of June – and we will receive 72 hours’ notice.*
Stay tuned… we will keep you updated as we receive any new information.
