Canada’s Anti-Spam Law (CASL): Impact on Charities and Not-For-Profits

The Canadian government has passed legislation that will prohibit the sending of email communications unless the messages meet both consent and content requirements from the recipient (fightspam.gc.ca).

It will be illegal for organizations to send emails to individuals without their consent. Most provisions will come into force on July 1st, 2014 but the good news is it will not impact most charities.

If you would like more information on the legislation and how it will impact your organization, contact us.
